About me
Melissa Pierick, an award-winning copywriter and marketing professional, is Director of Marketing and Community Relations for the Ice Age Trail Alliance. She combines her professional expertise and personal passion to share the story of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, inspire volunteerism, and build support for one of Wisconsin’s most significant conservation and recreation resources.
A mostly lifelong resident of Wisconsin, Melissa didn’t discover the Ice Age Trail until 2019. Now, she is 671+ miles into her Thousand Miler journey to complete the Ice Age Trail and knows: the difference between a drumlin and an esker, the best place on Trail to get a soft-serve ice cream cone, and the worst temperature to hike in. She also knows the longer it takes her to complete her journey, the more Trail miles there will be to hike.
