About me
Land is a 5th generation Montanan quite literally born into conservation. From a young age Land got his hands dirty and his feet wet in the wilds of his home state while simultaneously being surrounded by conservation conversations led by his parents and many other leaders of the time. Land graduated in 2000 from the University of Montana with a BA in Wildlife Biology. Since then he has spent nearly 30 years organizing grassroots constituencies, speaking truth to power, and holding elected and administrative leaders accountable to our collective conservation legacy. He has held leadership positions at the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, National Wildlife Federation, and Backcountry Hunters & Anglers. Today he is the co-chair at American Hunters & Anglers, a powerful media organization inspiring followers to action. Land is most comfortable with a rod or gun in hand but also knows his way around Washington, D.C.
