Breakout 2C: Your Election-Year Story Guide: Conservation Issues to Know
Sunday August 23, 2026 10:30am - 12:00pm CDT
Editors will want timely, well-sourced stories on conservation and public lands issues in the months ahead. This session is a working guide for outdoor writers: what's moving through Congress and federal agencies right now, where the policy fault lines are, and how to find credible sources and angles for nonpartisan, issue-driven coverage. Panelists span the outdoor, conservation, and climate policy world and will focus on substance over speculation.
